ISSUES - THERMAL MANAGEMENT |
go back |
|
|
Due to the low quality (temperature) of
heat sources in the PEM fuel cell system, thermal management is a key
aspect of overall system design. As a whole, the anode sub-system is
less affected than other engine sub-systems by this consideration,
however, it is still an important aspect of proper sub-system design. |
|
|
Because of the innovative humidification
scheme used in the H2Systems HDRS, heat transfer that might otherwise
be required to promote vaporization of water is not required. This
greatly reduces the need for thermal management devices (heat
exchangers, humidifiers) in the sub-system. |
