hydrogen fuel in the PEM fuel cell application is essential for
efficient, robust operation. The H2Systems HDRS provides opportunities

Cost - By increasing the total
flow rate of hydrogen fuel through the stack, there is a path towards
a
reduction in catalyst loading, and therefore materials cost of the
fuel cell stack. |

Efficiency - The HDRS uses a
minimum amount of parasitic power, resulting in a net increase in
efficiency over comparative sub-system configurations. |

Weight, Size - Reduction or
elimination of the need for bulky external humidifiers greatly affects
overall sub-system dimensions and mass. |

Durability - Proper conditioning
and overstoic of the fuel stream prevents drying of the MEA and fuel
starvation, effectively increasing stack life. |
